For years Ben Smith and Phil Rogers have been jamming in various ways but it wasn’t until a unique opportunity to enter a remix competition for German Minimal label Rrygular, that they knuckled down and worked together as a production team. Both have had a passion for music from a young age, Ben playing Percussion (amongst many other things) for the last 10 years in various experimental groups and Phil endlessly obsessing over drum machines and synthesizers, obviously it wasn’t going to be long before they began to work together in the studio. Their musical upbringing has led them to want to write and play as ‘live’ as possible, and this comes through in their work. The duo have always worked hard at making their sounds as unique as possible, however strange and fruity they may be, this gives their music a very recognizable sound and has plenty of room to evolve in the coming years.
