Martinho
From early musical beginnings in jazz and 70′s prog rock, Martin discovered techno near the end of high school and began in dj’ing at the age of 18. After a handful of gigs at techno parties around Adelaide he gained his first residency at Mile High alongside Jayde and Phil in 2004, which they held until the club’s closure in 2008. Martin has also held residencies at Sugar and Fad Bar and is currently a resident at Dragonfly. He has supported the likes of Linkwood, Gene Farris, Steve Bug, Recloose and Martinez.
After becoming more and more interested in the production side of electronic music, Martin began writing his own tracks. These productions have diverse musical influences, ranging from his early love of jazz through to deep detroit house, disco, dark twisted german techno, late 80′s/early 90′s house, true electro and detroit techno. Martin’s track “Green Power”, which features on the new Cuckoo Music E.P., is a deep and hypnotic track that is a melting pot of these musical influences and an indication of the direction his productions are taking.
