The latest CKM Ep is dropping next week (23-6-11)!

Super excited to finally have this out for the peoples ears, and hope everyone enjoys listening.

This EP includes two fresh original tracks by 12″ Phildo, and a DOPE remix by Andras Fox. Its a blend of house music styles, driven by cosmic synths and stripped back drum patterns. Some what experimental, sometimes functional, but always interesting.

As with the previous releases, this will be available exclusively from Juno Download as of Thursday next week.

Featuring The Carter Bros – Inkswel – 12″ Phildo

Wonder where you can hide out with like minded freaks on the most chaotic night of the year….

A secluded, bubbling brook underneath a 6 lane highway.
A dark cave on the side of a volcano

Whats going on all around has no bearing on what happens here.. The only thing that can keeps the hoards at bay is if we stick together.

We have hand picked a line up of the top night dwellers, a group of the finest moon tans we’ve ever seen!

Our tenders are at your service, we’ll warm up to the 1st-2011 in the only way we know how..
We want our freaks to be well lubricated for the evening ahead.

Our now famous punch will be a clear winner, FREE till its all tuckered out.
Some celebratory shots for the real early birds ;-)

After that its onto the finest south aussie brewer, providing us with $4 Pale, Sparkling or Lager.

As mentioned… A line up of some our favorite Djs

We’re just making sure you’ve got somewhere to hang with the better ones.

Rick Wade has been at the forefront of late night Detroit house for over 15 years. His universal appeal in different areas of electronic music has seen him release on over 20 different labels world wide. Rick’s productions are the first point of call for beautiful house music, tapping into the essence of deepness, with rich melodies and timeless grooves.

In 1993 Rick started Harmonie Park with the legendary Dan Bell, a label focused on House music. Then in 1995 Rick launched Bass Force primarily as an outlet for the Booty / Bass material that he records under the ‘Big Daddy Rick’ moniker.
Until recently, Harmonie Park releases have been very hard to come by, and for that reason, HIGHLY sort after! Now, Thanks to Hardwax in Berlin, the catalogue has been re-released on brandspanking new wax :-) This has really re-introduced Rick’s music to another generation of House lovers who may not have otherwise heard the classics!

He is well regarded for his Dj sets, starting off as a radio DJ in the late 80′s spinning classic Disco and deep house. This gained him attention from various producers and Djs around the U.S who loved his selections and mixing ability.

Today, Rick Wade enjoys a reputation as one of the premier House mixshow producers in the world and anyone who likes deep, funky vibes should definitely find a chance to see him play live. Every Rick Wade set is fresh and spontaneous. Drawing its energy directly from the unique vibe of each party, Rick exposes the crowd, taking the vibe to an emotional peak where it merges with the body, mind, and spirit into a continuous musical orgasm that lasts long after his set is over.

A mixture of old and new tunes that I’ve been lucky enough to grab over the last few months, plus one or two that were already in the bags for a while. Mostly on a house tip, plenty of big thumbs up to Detroit, nothing unusual there, it is the 25 anniversary of Detroit techno (house?) coming up real soon.. So i had to give a large nod to the innovators of the beautiful sound.

Please enjoy responsibly

From the hazy smog of Metropolitain to interstellar traveling with Starblazers Vol 1 we have had a great year here at Cuckoo Music. With the pipeline loaded with fresh tunes it looks like 2010/11 will be just as successful.

001 (Metropolitain) spent a good three weeks at the top of the Juno charts, and recieved much praise from all corners of the globe. We are extremely lucky to have the Carter Bros as our top lads, and expect to be blown away with what they have to come.

Much like our Starblazers release, the first birthday party will be a selection of the finest underground talent Adelaide has to offer. Featuring no less than 3 of the Onion Top 10 Producers/Dj Act’s   :-)    Not to mention a handful of others, TACE, Sanji and Flowerpot all getting in on the action.

Long weekend parties are always the best! Don’t miss this one  :-D

Our friends over at Onion have begun a count down of their favorite Adelaide producers. Just sneaking in at #10 is our very own 12″ Phildo.

Keep checking it out over the next…… 9 days i suppose to see who else gets in!

I’m rooting for more of our Cuckoo peeps!!!

EDIT

Congratulations To MartinHo for taking out number 6!!

This is a well deserved win, after making serious waves with his very popular release Green power.

EDIT 1.2

Carter Bros in at number 4!! Not surprisingly :-)  Big props from the people at Onion, thanks to all the writers and contributors for their support!

It is with much joy and relief, that i can tell everyone that CKM002 will available for purchase 18/6/2010

Starblazers Vol. 1 is a Various Artist compilation, bringing together 4 new artists (12″ Phildo, Martinho, TACE, FlowerPot) plus another dope hit from The Carter Bros.
