A showcase of live electronic music. :-)

We’ve had to call ETSA to get more power routed into the club just to run all the hardware.

Rob-softly has been working on this Audio + Visuals set for sometime now and we’re all amped to see what he has in store. From hearing Robs various musical projects over the last few years i can imagine a wealth of organic sounds and textures in his set. More info to come on the visuals, maybe even a little clip to get the senses going.

M-Thirteen is the new project from one part of Presslounge. His first offering was to the hoards of cheerleaders and banner boys at the Fringe Spin Comp, where he narrowly lost to some inferior digital jukeboxes. His set is made with some help  from some lovely vintage toys including a hot Red SH-101! Keen to hear what he has to offer!

Lastly we have a fruity offering from Duo FlowerPot. This is to be their 4th live set at cuckoo, each being more twisted than the last. They have decided this time to take a more scape, ambient / downtempo angle for the Wednesday night affair. Very much a jam, with not much in the pipeline in terms of pre-planning, this could go anywhere…

Being a weekday night we are going to open to doors from 7pm and offer a Pizza + CoopersPale Longneck for $17!! So get in early and settle in for a sonic experience like no other.

It’s my pleasure to announce that the third release from Cuckoo Music is just days away! This one has been in the pipeline for sometime, so we’re very happy to have it ready for your ears.

Inkswel and his mysterious UHOH! Orchestra have been making sweet sweet love to their MPC for some time now. This release, with its raw head nodding grooves is the culmination of their musical inspirations. It takes on various forms throughout the 6 tracks, rugged dj tools and raw headphone music, as well as dope bboy dancefloor shakers.

Exclusive to Cuckoo Music & Juno, this third release includes a intricate, organic remix by FlowerPot and a two part remix by The Carter Bros. The latter being strictly for the club.

Big thanks go out to Andres Fox for doing an AMAZING job with the artwork! And our new Cuckoo Music logo! Legend :-)

Scheduled release date is  1/1/11

From the hazy smog of Metropolitain to interstellar traveling with Starblazers Vol 1 we have had a great year here at Cuckoo Music. With the pipeline loaded with fresh tunes it looks like 2010/11 will be just as successful.

001 (Metropolitain) spent a good three weeks at the top of the Juno charts, and recieved much praise from all corners of the globe. We are extremely lucky to have the Carter Bros as our top lads, and expect to be blown away with what they have to come.

Much like our Starblazers release, the first birthday party will be a selection of the finest underground talent Adelaide has to offer. Featuring no less than 3 of the Onion Top 10 Producers/Dj Act’s   :-)    Not to mention a handful of others, TACE, Sanji and Flowerpot all getting in on the action.

Long weekend parties are always the best! Don’t miss this one  :-D

It is with much joy and relief, that i can tell everyone that CKM002 will available for purchase 18/6/2010

Starblazers Vol. 1 is a Various Artist compilation, bringing together 4 new artists (12″ Phildo, Martinho, TACE, FlowerPot) plus another dope hit from The Carter Bros.
